Hocking Hills

The Hocking Hills Region is best known for the natural features of Old Man's Cave. Tree-lined trails full of hemlocks overlook a gorge packed with waterfalls tumbling down craggy cliff edges and unusual rock formations covered in deep green moss. Visitors to the park can expect naturalist programs all year around and special events nearly every month. The six main areas of the Hocking Hills are:

There are over 25 miles of hiking trails at Hocking Hills State Park. From hemlock-lined walkways to rocky inclines, there is an adventure awaiting even the most daring of travelers.

Hocking Hills-Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls-Hikers of all ages will enjoy this rugged hike to a waterfall cascading into a small pool.

 

 

 

Cantwell Cliffs-Winding narrow passages, steep inclines and a mysterious rock shelter have intrigued visitors for centuries.

 

Ash Cave-Hemlock lined trails, wooden stairways and a huge waterfall awaited park visitors for hundreds of years. Handicap accessible trail available.

Old Man's Cave-Famous for its deep gorge and many waterfalls. Hikers are in store for many treats on this trail including cavern walkways and plenty of hemlocks.
Rock House- Rockhouse was said to once be a hide-out for bandits and thieves in 1800's.

Conkle's Hollow-One of the most rugged areas of the park and features huge rock walls, awesome views and spectacular fall colors.

Hocking Hills Cabin/Cottage

The Hocking Hills Region is well-known for its seemingly endless horizons of deep forestland, cascading waterfalls, rock formations and awesome cliffs. Rugged and wild, the region holds in its grasp such Hocking Hills State Park features as Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Conkle's Hollow, Rock House and Cantwell Cliffs. Each of these unique areas has its own character, but all have beautiful hiking trails and wonderful views of Ohio's scenic Appalachian hills. Not far away, Lake Hope State Park offers mountain bike trails, hiking and fishing. The town of Logan, Ohio is abound with antique malls, tiny shops tucked into the hills, horseback riding treks and canoeing.
